Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel Sofer (born on the 2nd of December the 2nd of December, 1968) is an American actress and model, well-known for her appearances in daytime television, occasional guest appearances and made-for-television films. Sofer has been awarded a Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for her portrayal as Lois Cerullo of the soap show General Hospital. From 2013 to 2022, she played the role of Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap production The Bold and the Beautiful.
Childhood and early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia (California), the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) who is a psychologist, and Martin Sofer, who is an Orthodox Rabbi.
She moved with her father and brother David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970. They lived in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. The family was raised in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She was a student at the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer grew up in North Bergen where her father was the synagogue's rabbi Temple Beth El. She graduated from North Bergen High School, after which she attended classes at Montclair State College.
Career
Daytime television
Lois Marie Cerullo was the first Lois Marie Cerullo that Sofer was a part of on General Hospital. She first appeared on television in 1993 as a manager for the band. However, her first high-profile character was Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap show Loving (1988-91).
